Packing My Bags

Bike Commute 3 miles
Run 9 miles

Off to Anchorage tomorrow afternoon. Should be a fun weekend. I like these short trips out of Juneau. As much as I'm getting more and more content with living in Juneau it's also been really nice to get away as much as I have this summer. As anyone who has been to Juneau knows there really isn't anywhere to go once you are here so it's nice to hop on a plane and see some other places every now and then.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll try to post a race report Sunday or Monday.

Geoff,

Great job in Crow Pass! Beyond great. Sub 3:08 is beyond superlatives. You did not get the credit due in the newspaper article. You are proving to be quite a mountain runner! Good luck on the Resurrection and perhaps see you in Fairbanks for the Equinox! - Harlow - hrobinson@akchild.org

Geoff,

I haven't met you before, but I rang you up at Skinny Raven: resurrection 50 not Mat Peak, remember.

In any case, great job in Crow Pass. Sub 3:08 up and over a glacier across a river then over 10 miles of miserable roots and rocks and blind corners with a bear stare-down to boot: that's Alaska for you.

I read in your blog that this will be your last race, but you should consider running the Klondike Relay with our team Take No Prisoners!!! This is your public inviation :)
